ARTICLE SUMMARY:...Often those receiving US aid, NPR reports. The Pew Research Center found and interesting insight while polling about favorable views of the US and China, and found that nations that received substantial fiscal aid from the United States are among those that dislike the US the most. In the Middle East, the United States saw a 16% favorability in Palestine and Egypt (though that number is most likely much lower since the poll was taken last spring), with billions of aid going to each annually. The aid is not the cause or effect of the low favorability; rather, the US provides aid in places it deems strategically important. It does raise questions, however, if that's worth the $50 billion worth of aid every year.
