SITE SUMMARY:
Very nifty; a Ph.d linguistic student, armed with a national survey from his Professors, set out to visually explore how American accents differ by geography. What, for example, is the regional pronunciations of caramel? Where is "crayon" pronounced "crown"? A fun exploration of the varying dialects in this expansive country of ours. I'm not saying anyone is wrong, but it's called soda, not pop.
