Which State Fits Your Mood?

I've been seeing this one going about, and it's no surprise why: if you've traveled this fine country you'll undoubtedly notice that the general disposition of a New Yorker is nothing like a Southerner, and nothing like a Californian. The University of Cambridge sought to actually quantify this scientifically, mapping regions of the US by their attitude and personality. Using self reported personality surveys of over a million people, they created an online test that matches you to the state best suited to your attitude, based on neuroticism, extroversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness and openness. Some interesting findings: the West Coast is more likely to be relaxed and creative, the midwest conventional and friendly, and the east coast divided between temperamental and conventional. There's also some interesting theories attached to it on why certain regions respond different ways. A jolly good article/survey.
