ARTICLE SUMMARY:
The lack of women in careers in math and sciences is not the result of their inherent inability to think as well as their male counterparts in these arenas (take that, girls suck at math), but rather a seemingly conscious choice made by women. Women who are skilled in math, sciences, are also skilled in other areas, and are seeking careers where they feel they will encounter less stereotypes, a more welcoming environment, more possibilities for acceptance and financial advancement.
